DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
A.THE WORD OF GOD. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of God the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. II Timothy 3:16,17
B. THE TRINITY. We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three Persons, that these three are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption. Genesis 1:1,26; II Thessalonians 1:2; John 1:1-3; Acts 5:3, 4, 9
C. GOD THE FATHER. We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in every way. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer and that He saves from sin and eternal death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. John 4:24, Romans 8:26-32, Romans 3:21-28
D. JESUS CHRIST. We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death for the sins of all people; His bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven and perpetual intercession for His people. John 3:16, Luke 1:35, Matthew 1:23, II Corinthians 5:21, Luke 7:19-23, I Corinthians 15:1-11, Acts 1:9-11, Romans 8:31-34
E. THE HOLY SPIRIT. We believe in God the Holy Spirit who came to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit baptizes (places) every believer into the Body of Christ and indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding teacher and guide. (John 16:7-11, Titus 3:5-6, Romans 15:15-16, Ephesians 3:16, I Corinthians 12:13, Romans 8:11, John 14:26, 16:13)
F. SATAN. We believe in the personality of Satan (not a force or idea). We believe he is the god of this world; that he is a liar, deceiver, accuser of believers and an opposer of all truth. (II Corinthians 12:13, John 8:44, Revelation 12:9,10)
G. SALVATION. We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice, and are therefore, under condemnation. We believe that those who trust in Jesus Christ as Savior through believing (know, give assent to, appropriate) the gospel are regenerated (new birth) by the Holy Spirit becoming a new creation in Christ. (Genesis 3, Ephesians 2:1-10, John 3:16-19, Romans 1:16-17, I Corinthians 15:4-5, Titus 3:4-6, II Corinthians 5:17)
H. THE CHURCH. We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, associated for worship, service and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world and ministering to the Body of Christ. Colossians 1:18, I Corinthians 12:13, Romans 12:4-5, I Timothy 1-6, II Corinthians 5:14-21, Romans 12)
I. CHRISTIAN CONDUCT. We believe that a Christian should live for the glory of God and that the well being of their fellow men, that his/her conduct should be blameless before others; that they be a faithful steward of their spiritual gifts and possessions, and that they should seek to realize for themselves, and others, the full maturity in Christ. (I Corinthians 10:31, Romans 14-15:13, Philippians 2:1-11, Galatians 6:1-10)
J. THE COMMUNION OF THE LORD'S SUPPER. We believe the communion of the Lord's Supper is for any member of the Body of Christ to observe in remembrance of Jesus Christ, "until He comes". (I Corinthians 11:23-26)
K. BAPTISM. We believe that during God's present method of dispensing His Grace, the essential baptism is the divine baptism (placing) of all believers by the Holy Spirit into the Body of Christ. By this one baptism (placing) every member of the Body of Christ is identified with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. (I Corinthians 12:13, Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:8-12, Ephesians 4:4-6)
L. LAST THINGS. We believe in the personal pre-tribulational return of the Lord Jesus Christ in the air for His saints and also His visible return to earth at the end of the tribulation to judge the nations and establish His millennial kingdom. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18, I Corinthians 15:51-58, Acts 1:10-11, Matthew 24:29-31, Revelation 19:11, 20:15)
M. SPIRITUAL GIFTS. We believe every believer has been gifted by God for the purposes of glorifying God and building up the Body of Christ. Individual believers possess gifts which differ according to the grace given to them from God. (Romans 12:3-6, Ephesians 4:7-16, I Corinthians 12)
N. ETERNAL SECURITY. We believe every believer is eternally secure in Christ.(Ephesians 1:13-14 & 4:30, Colossians 3:1-4, Romans 8:38-39, II Corinthians 1:21-22)
